A Soldier's Thank You


Last holiday season, we donated approximately 1,000 copies of a compilation CD "Music & Words of Comfort for our Spiritual Warriors" (through Heartfelt Foundation and Give2theTroops.org) to the US troops. The CD was a compilation of music from Jsu Garcia and the "Spiritual Warriors" film, Nat Sharratt's two albums and our friend and mixer Michael (and his wife Jacky) Kreple. The CD also included spoken excerpts from Dr. John-Roger. Today we received the below email which touched us, and we wanted to share it with you.

Gentleman,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is CPT John Carson and I am an infantry captain currently serving with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. I recently returned from Iraq where I was a company commander with 5-73 CAV, 3rd brigade. I now serve as the rear detachment commander for my battalion which will remain in Iraq, in the volatile Diyala Province, until November. The paratroopers of 5-73 CAV are enduring a grueling deployment and due to intense operation tempo have little or no time to correspond with supporters back home. So on behalf of myself, my soldiers, and my entire battalion I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful support of the military. Your generous donations are greatly appreciated. Your CD, Spiritual Warriors, is a great morale booster for our troops in harms way. These are indeed trying times for the military and our families. To know that we have the support of great Americans like you means everything. Thank you and keep the faith...
